Getting started

Peilo is your platform for AI visibility, or think of it as SEO for AI search. Within minutes you'll know whether ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and the rest recommend your brand, and what you can do to make it happen more often.

What is Peilo?

Peilo regularly asks the major AI assistants your most important search queries and checks the answers: Is your brand mentioned? In which position? In what tone? The result is a set of clear metrics and concrete recommendations. Where classic SEO measures Google rankings, Peilo measures how you show up in AI answers.

How it works

Three steps: You add your brand, domain and competitors. Peilo automatically measures the AI models' answers. You review the results and act on the recommendations.

Quickstart

Four steps to your first data, all in the browser:

1. Create an account: with email or via Google, Apple or LinkedIn (see Create an account).
2. Add your brand & domain: enter your brand name and website.
3. Add prompts: the search queries that matter to you (see Prompts).
4. Review your results: Peilo measures automatically; shortly after, your score, mentions and recommendations appear.

The first measurement usually takes just a few minutes.

The building blocks

• Engine: an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok, Copilot, Google AI Overviews)
• Prompt: a search query that Peilo monitors
• Mention & position: whether and where your brand gets named
• Sentiment: the tone, positive, neutral or negative
• Source: a website the AI cites as evidence
• Competitors: brands you're compared against

Visibility score

The score combines mention, position and sentiment into a single number from 0–100. The higher it is, the more strongly you're recommended.

Share of voice

Your share of all mentions (you + competitors). When it rises, you're gaining on the competition.

History & trends

Daily measurements build into a 30-day history, so you can see whether your efforts are paying off.

Supported AI models

Nothing to install

Peilo runs entirely in the cloud. All you need is a browser: no software, no maintenance, automatic updates.

Create an account

Up and running in under a minute:

1. Sign up: click “Sign in” in the top right → “Create account”. Name, email and a password (at least 8 characters) are all you need.
2. Or use a provider: even faster via Google, Apple or LinkedIn.
3. Set up your workspace: you'll add your brand on first sign-in.

Email already taken?

There's exactly one account per email address. If you signed up with Google, for example, simply sign in with Google again later, with no duplicate-account confusion.

Keeping your account safe

Passwords are stored encrypted, sessions are protected, and repeated failed attempts are blocked automatically. More under Security.

Verify your domain

Connect your website to Peilo so web data and citations of your own site are attributed correctly. This is optional; tracking works without it, and verification just makes the web attribution more precise.

DNS changes can take up to 24 hours to propagate. Then click “Verify” in your dashboard.

Setup & connections

Peilo itself needs no installation; it's a web app. Optionally, connect your tools to get more out of your data.

Tie AI visibility to real website traffic: Integrations → Google Analytics → Connect and confirm access.

Plans & upgrades

More prompts, more models, more frequent measurements: adjust your plan any time.

Change your plan

Switch plans any time under Settings → Billing. Higher plans add more tracked prompts, more frequent measurements (daily instead of weekly), all models, plus export and team features.

What changes when you upgrade

Upgrades take effect immediately, and all your existing data and history are fully preserved. Billing is prorated.

Downgrade & cancellation

You can downgrade or cancel any time. Your current feature set stays active until the end of the billing period.

Design & reports

Customize how your reports look, especially the ones you share.

Report branding

Under Settings → Brand, add your logo and accent color. Exported reports then appear in your look, ideal for presentations and clients (depending on your plan).

Appearance

The interface is light and uncluttered. Charts and tables use clear colors for positive/negative, so trends are visible at a glance.

Everything about your workspace:

• Brand & domain: name, website and competitors as the basis of every measurement
• Notifications: via email or Slack when something important changes
• Language & region: prompts per country for localized results
• Team: invite colleagues and work together (depending on your plan)

Set up tracking

Three steps and Peilo is measuring your visibility, all with a few clicks in the dashboard:

1. Choose AI models: enable the models you want to be found in (all are active by default).
2. Add prompts: enter your search queries via “Track new prompt” (optionally with a country).
3. Set the frequency: per prompt, daily for fine-grained trends, or weekly to track more sparingly.

Results

As soon as the first measurement runs, your dashboard, overview and sources fill up. Re-measure any prompt instantly with the “Track now” button in the prompt table.

Prompts

Prompts are the heart of Peilo: choosing them well decides how meaningful your data is.

Choosing good prompts

Use real user questions, moderately specific and in the right language. Avoid bare brand names or extremely broad terms; they tell you very little.

Managing prompts

You can pause prompts any time (they then stop counting) or delete them. Paused prompts keep their existing history.

Choosing a frequency

Daily gives you finer-grained trends; weekly conserves your quota. Set your most important prompts to daily.

Competitors

Visibility is relative, which is why Peilo automatically benchmarks you against your competition.

Add competitors

Enter the brands under Settings → Competitors (optionally with their website). From then on, Peilo recognizes them in every AI answer, with no extra prompts required.

Share of voice

Your share of all mentions (you + competitors). When it rises, you're gaining ground on the competition.

Finding gaps

Peilo automatically flags prompts and models where competitors are stronger, then turns them straight into actions.

Reporting

All your insights in one place, presented so anyone can read them:

• Overview: visibility score, share of voice and 30-day history
• LLM analytics: visibility per model, including sentiment and trend
• Web analytics: visitors & conversions from AI search
• Export & reports: CSV/PDF and scheduled email reports (depending on your plan)

Alerts

Get notified automatically by email or Slack when something important changes (e.g. a sharp rise or drop).

API

Pull your data programmatically, ideal for custom dashboards or automations. Built for developers.

API key & authentication

Generate your key under Settings → API and treat it like a password. Base URL: https://api.Peilo.app/v1. Authenticate every request with the header Authorization: Bearer dsn_live_….

Security & privacy

Your data is protected with us, technically and legally:

• Encryption: HTTPS/TLS in transit, passwords securely hashed
• GDPR: EU hosting, a clear privacy policy, terms & imprint
• Account protection: rate-limited sign-in attempts, secure sessions
• Your data stays yours: export & deletion on request, any time

What you can do yourself

• Use a strong, unique password
• Keep API keys secret and rotate them if you suspect a leak
• Invite team members with only the permissions they need
